Mr. A N M Abuzar Gifarry, Upazila Nirbahi Officer(UNO), Shyamnagar, Satkhira has inaugurated the hygiene package distribution in Shyamnagar Upazila office premises at 30 July 2020. At the same day, Mr. Sayed Mehedi, Chairman of Kaligonj Upazila Parishad, has inaugurated the hygiene packages distribution in Kaliganj Upazila of Satkhira district in Bangladesh. A total of 2610 hygiene package has been distributed to 2610 households. Each package contains 4 pieces of soaps, 5 pieces of reusable face masks, 1 bottle of hand sanitizers, 1 packet of the sanitary napkin and user manual. The hygiene package has been distributed under the project entitled “Emergency assistance to highly vulnerable HHs affected by Cyclone Amphan and Covid-19 in Satkhira District, Bangladesh” with financial support of Irish Aid & Christian Aid, Bangladesh. The hygiene package has been distributed to take protection measure from COVID 19. 
This project has been launched in this area to empower cyclone-affected communities to control the transmission of COVID-19 through raising awareness and providing handwashing facilities at the community and HHs levels. LEDARS has implemented different need-based interventions for enabling the community to control the transmission of COVID-19. 20100 leaflets, 2000 posters, 100 festoons distributed at the community level with the information of symptoms of the corona, how it is spread, how to mitigate transmission and avoid infection, at the same time project information, complaint response mechanisms supporting information placed in the leaflet. On the other side, the same corona preventing information was disseminated at the community level through micking for 24 days. At the hygiene package distribution ceremony.
