A two-day Skills Development Workshop on Climate Change and Advocacy was organized by LEDARS at PTRC Training Center, Satkhira, Bangladesh on 16-17 February 2021 with the financial support of Bread for the World. A total of 25 members participated in this training.

Mr. SM. Mostafa Kamal, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Satkhira District was chief guest and Md. Rukunzzaman, Deputy Director of Department of Social Services was special guest of the workshop. Md. Anishur Rahim, Member of Satkhira District Climate Advocacy Forum and Convener of Satkhira Nagorik Committee, Madhab Chandra Dutta, Member Secretary and Executive Director of Swadesh, Md. Abdur Sabur, Executive Director of Agragati Sangstha, Md. Rezaul Islam, Professor of Khulna University, Mohan Kumar Mandal, Executive Director of LEDARS were present in the workshop. Md. Abdul Hamid, President of Satkhira District Climate Advocacy Forum and former Principal, presided over the inaugurated ceremony.Mr. Gaurang Nandi, Khulna Bureau Chief of daily Kalerkantha (Newspaper), Md. Rezaul Islam, Professor of Khulna University, Mohan Kumar Mandal, Executive Director of LEDARS facilitated the workshop. The two-day session was conducted on the topic Climate Change Science, Adaptation & Mitigation, Human Rights & Global Community Initiatives to Combat Climate Change. The Deputy Commissioner said, “Everyone should be aware to solve the various crises of the people of South-west Coast. He further said that the activities of LEDARS are playing a role in the implementation of SDGs. He thanked LEDARS for organizing the training on “climate change and advocacy”.
