LEDARS is implementing “Covid Sensitive Cyclone Amphan Rehabilitation Program” in an emergency basis with the financial support of Bread for the World. Under the program total 450 families affected by Covid and Cyclone Amphan got hygiene kits and cash support for work. 100 families of Assasuni Sadar union under Assasuni upazila, 100 of Kasimari union and 250 of Gabura union under Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira District got this support. Each family received one hygiene package and 6500 tk in return of work. Each hygiene package including 5 masks, 1 packet sanitary napkin, 5 Savlon soaps, 1 piece 250 ml sanitizer. In total about 2.2 km road has been repaired in the two Upazila till now. Beside this in Gabura union 40 feet deep basement has been prepared in a Madrasa. In Kasimari union a high school field has been filled up. In Assasuni sadar Union 2 field of two temples have been filled up. For repairing the road and field people receive the cash assistance from LEDARS. The work is now under ongoing process. This initiative is praised by the local civil society.
