LEDARS organized 6 open air exhibitions on in August, 2021 to aware the youth and adolescent on the issue of safe sexual and reproductive health and rights at Shyamnagar and Kaligonj upazilas of Satkhira district under the project of Pathway to SRHR Revolution: Open Air Exhibition for Safe Sexual and Reproductive Health, funded by ARROW-Asian Resource and Research Centre for Women.
The first event was presided over by Fredom Fighter Md. Nazrul Islam, Vice Chairman, Executive Committee of LEDARS. Mr. S.M. Ataul Haque Dolon, Chairman, Shyamnagar, Upazila was chief guest of the event. In his speech the chief guest Mr. S.M. Ataul Haque Dolon, Chairman, Shyamnagar, Upazila said “This is an exceptional exhibition. Through this exhibition we have learned about various issues related to safe sexual and reproductive health and rights. Adolescents will benefit a lot if this exhibition can be organized in villages and schools”.
The key note was presented by the Program Manager of LEDARS explaining the objective of the event and briefing of the project. Representative of Local Government Institute and different Government officer such as Mr. Saidujjaman Said, Upazila Vice Chairman, Ms. Khaleda Ayub Doli, Upazila Female Vice Chairman, Ms. Shirin Shila, Upazila Press Information Officer, Mr. Sharid Bin Shafique, Upazila Women Affairs Officer, Md. Khabir Hossain, Sub Inspector Shyamnagar, Police Station participated to the event. More valuable guest participated to the event such as Asst. Prof. Mr. Manobendro Debnath, Executive Member, LEDARS, Mr. Ranajit Barman, Teacher and other media person of Shyamnagar participated in the event.
