Under the funding of the Bread for the World, LEDARS organized a capacity building training on Climate Change and Advocacy at Dhanshiree Training Center, Bagerhat on September 15 & 16 2021. The objective of the training is to accelerate the advocacy work by using the updated advocacy tools and knowledge on the issue of Climate Change.
The two days long training was inaugurated by Muhammad Azizur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner & District Magistrate, as the chief guest of this inauguration session. The opening ceremony of the training was presided over by Advocate Shorifa Khanom, Convener, Bagerhat Climate Advocacy Forum. The other valuable guest included Mr. Mukharrjee Robindranath, Co-Convener, Ms. Rijia Pervin, Co-Convener, Md. Asaduzzaman, General Secretary, Md. Nur Alam, Member of this Forum, Mr. Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS participated.
In his speech, Deputy Commissioner said “disaster is rising day by day due to climate change. The developed country emitting hues amount of greenhouse gas resulting, the temperature of the environment is increasing. If the see level 1 meter increase then 17% of the coaster area will be submerged under water. We have to careful to control it. We need to work together to raise our voice”
