The lands of the southwest coastal areas are affected by salinity. Since that, the southwest coastal people have been facing seed crisis due to poor supply and unavailability. In-order to overcome this crisis, LEDARS organized vegetable seed production training among the farmers on October 27, 2021 at LEDARS, Head Office under the project of SLSCCVP. The training was inaugurated by the Mr. Enamul Islam, Upazila Agriculture Extension Officer as a chief guest as well as it was presided over by Mr. SM Monwar Hossain, Program Manager, LEDARS. Mr. Md. Jamal Hossain, Assistant Agricultural Extension Officer participated as the special guest at the inauguration session of the training. The vegetable seed production training was facilitated by Mr. Rakibul Hasan, Technical Officer (Agriculture), LEDARS. The agricultural Officer and Assistant Agricultural Officer also facilitated the training as the resource person. The Chief Guest said, “Frequent disasters at the southwest coast have created a crisis in agriculture.

I am grateful to the LEDARS for conducting this training to the farmers on the issue of vegetable seed production to overcome this crisis. I think LEDARS initiative will be successful if we use this training knowledge.”
