Everyone we need science education as citizen of Digital Bangladesh. Bangladesh is advancing so fast in science and information technology and if this initiative continues, I believe it will contribution Bangladesh to achieve its goal. The honorable Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Satkhira Abul Kashem Md. Mohiuddin delivered the sentences at inaugural session of Inter School Science Fair 2017 as chief guest. The fair organized by LEDARS with financial support of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation(BFF) at 24 January 2017 at Nokipur H.C Pilot High School ground in Shyamnagar upazila under Satkhira district. To inspire the getting science education, inspired the junior scientist of secondary schools and increase enrollment in science education, LEDARS has organized Inter School Science Fair.
Special guests were Upazilla Chairman (Acting) of Shyamnagar, Satkhira Mohsin-Ul-Mulk, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Abdullah Sadid, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Rabiul Islam, Executive Director of BFF Sazzadur Rahman Chowdhury, Freedom Fighter Master Nazrul Islam, Executive Director of LEDARS Mohon Kumar Mondal, Upazilla Vice Chairman Nurjahan Parvin Jhorna, Head Teacher of Nakipur H.C Pilot Model High School Dr. Mr. Abdul Mannan, Head Teacher of Nakipur Pilot Girls High School Mr. Krishnananda Mukharjee, Assistant Professore of Atorjan Womens Degree College Manobendra Debnath, Assistant Teacher Ranajit Barmon Manager of Trust Bank Limited, Munshigonj Branch Md. Iftekharul Islam and others. Honorable Upazilla Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Shyamnagar, Satkhira Abu Sayeed Md. Monzur Alam has chaired the opening ceremony.
32-demonstration stall were in the fair. A total of 152 innovative science related projects like Robot, Water Pump, Solar panel, EMBM booth, Wooden Fridge, Helicopter, Flyover mitigating in the traffic jam, Water Vehicles, Production of energy creation by different methods, Water filter, Air cooler without electricity, Excavator, Floating house, were demonstrated in the fair. The students participated in different competition like science quiz competition, music competition and essay competition, etc. Winners of all competitions are awarded by a attractive prizes and a special gift hamper containing science kits. Nakipur H.C Pilot Model High School was selected as the best stall in the fair and the Sofuronnesa Girls High School was awarded as best science club in the year 2016.
