25 days long training has been started on dress design from 1st September 2015 in Dakkhin Bedkashi Union of Koyra Upazila under Khulna District. Selected member of Women Development Center is attaining the training. The objective of the training is to building capacity through hands on training and after training the beneficiaries will get necessary equipment and supports to continue the trades and establish market linkage. The inaugural ceremony was held at 1st September 2015 in LEDARS Koyra branch office premises. The ceremony was presided over by Mohon Kumar Mandal, Executive Director, LEDARS. Alhaj M. M. A. Manann, UP Chairman, Dakkhin Bedkshi, was the Chief Guest, Mrs Joynab Begum and Jashomoti Rani Mandal, UP Member of Dakkhin Bedkashi union were presented as a special guest of this inaugural session.
The Executive Director of LEDARS said his welcome speech, “LEDARS always keep up the quality of any activities and this is the difference of any other NGO. We have chosen dress design as an income generating activities thinking about the demand of current market.” The chief guest of the ceremony said that, “Every beneficiary should be paying special attention in the training session and after training must engage in this activity.” He also said that, “If every man of this union may be involved any kind of income generating activities, they must not migrated.”The special guest Joynab Begum said that, “After AILA many NGO’s helps us but we cannot create any sustainability of our lifestyle, so we should think at this moment about this profession.” Mr. Ranajit Kumar Mondal, (PO-Agri), Md. Showkat Hossain, (PO-Training) and Md. Moinul Islam M&E Officer were present the training.
