The disadvantaged children were being deprived of education due to the closure of schools and colleges during the COVID pandemic. In order to build the capacity of them, LEDARS conducted the Education Program under the project ‘With Kids All the Way’ in Shyamnagar, Satkhira. The closing meeting of the first phase program was held on Sunday (December 5) at the LEDARS head office and was successfully completed with the distribution of prizes among the students. The event was presided over by Mr. Bidhushroba Mondal, Chairman of the Executive Committee of LEDARS where Satkhira District Deputy Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Humayun Kabir was present as the chief guest. Shyamnagar Upazila Nirbahi Officer A. N. M. Abuzar Ghiffary was present as a special guest, Upazila Vice Chairman Saidujjaman Said and LEDARS Executive Director (In-charge) and Assistant Professor, Manabendra Debnath were also present. Mr Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director, LEDARS, Deputy Secretary Dr. Shaikh Moniruzzaman from USA, Maheer Zaman, CEO of With Kids All the Way Project, Mr. Anthony Mabele Fellow from Kenya, Principal, Jane Yegon, Member of the Assembly Joseph Nyongesa and others also participated in the event via Online (Zoom) platform. To increase the capacity of the disadvantaged people, Mahir Zaman, CEO of With Kids All the Way project, raised funds to provide online education on Climate change, Computer use, English, Math, Internet browsing and more to the disadvantaged children. At the same time the winners were rewarded through competitions in these subjects. The chief guest on the occasion said, ‘This exceptional education system for children is an exemplary education program which is going to be implemented in Kenya beyond the borders of Bangladesh. He thanked Maheer Zaman, an American expatriate kid, for this initiative.
