A human chain has been organized in front of the freedom fighting memorandum in the commercial town of Kapilmuni under the Paikgacha sub-district of Khulna district. Local people have participated in this human chain organized by LEDARS and Sundarban and Coastal Protection Movement. Mr. Nikhil Chandra Vadro, Convener, Sundarban and Coastal Protection Movement and general secretary, Bangladesh Parliament Journalist Association presided the human chain. Mr. Md. Rashaduzzaman, Upazila Chairman (old), Mr. Kowsar Ali Joardar, Union Council Chairman, Professor Razaul Karim Khokon, student leader, Mr. Prosanto Mondal, Advocate, have delivered their speech and expressed their solidarities to the human chain to demanding the sustainable embankment in the cyclone Amphan affected coastal area. They said that existing embankments are constructed during 1960s, it is so narrow and low considering the wave situation, natural hazard and intensity of disaster. They demanded the sustainable embankment considering the sea level rise and natural disaster.
