During the COVID 19 pandemic situation, super cyclone Amphan badly hit in southwest coastal region of Bangladesh at 20th may 2020. Due to COVID, earning source of poor people reduced drastically. Moreover, cyclone Amphan destroyed the household, livelihood, production, community assets, traditional agricultural scopes as well as salinity intrusion.
All the situation made the people’s life miserable. People are so helpless in this both disasters. After cyclone Amphan, LEDARS quick started the emergency response program in affected area. LEDARS has been implementing this project with the financial assistance of Christian Aid and Irish Aid. LEDARS is leading to implement the intervention through ensuring the partnership agreement with 5 CSOs.
