To faster the innovation of junior scientist of secondary schools and increase enrollment in science education, LEDARS has arranged Inter School Science Fair 15 on 12 May at Nokipur Girls High School in Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district. Honorable freedom fighter Master Nozrul Islam has chaired the fair. There is two parts of the fair. One is opening ceremony and the other is closing. The Inter school science fair inaugurated by the honorable Member of Parliament S.M. Joglul Haider, Satkhira-4. Special guests are District Education Officer Aminul Islam Tuku, Upazilla Secondary School Officer Abul Kalam Rofikuzzaman, Upazilla Chairman Mohsin-Ul-Mulk, Executive Director of LEDARS Mohon Kumar Mondal, Upazilla Vice Chairman Nurjahan Parvin Jhorna etc.
The students of the 30 schools has shown their projects like Wooden Fridge, Helicopter, Flyover mitigating the traffic jam, Human Skeleton, different models, ATM booths, water vehicles, press machines, production of energy produced by different methods etc.
Master Nozrul Islam also presided over by the closing and price giving ceremony of the fair. Upazilla Nirbahi Officer Abu Sayeed Md. Monzur Alom is the chief guest of the closing session. Special guests are the Asst. Commissioner (land) Ahsanullah Shorifi, Asst. Professor of Atorzan Women College Manobendro Debnath, Executive Director of LEDARS Mohon Kumar Mondal etc. The students participated in different programs like debate competition, music competitions and science quiz competition. Winners of all competitions are awarded by a crest, books and a special gift hamper containing 26 sets science kits are awarded to the champion of the debate competition which is the lucrative gifts of the program.
