A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Khulna University and the non-governmental development organization LEDARS to conduct research activities in the coastal areas of Bangladesh. The working relationship has been established to do reaches and study in the remote coastal area on climate change impact on sustainable livelihoods and innovation in resilient livelihoods. On 18 February 2021, the MoU has been signed between Professor Sadhan Ranjan Ghosh, Treasurer of Khulna University and Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS’ at KU administrative building.
Prof. Khan Golam Quddus, Dean of Life Science School, Prof. Dr. Md. Sarwar Jahan, Head of Agro-technology Discipline, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Bashir Ahmed, Agro-technology Discipline, Prof. Rezaul Islam, Agro-technology Discipline, Professor. Dr. Md. Motiul Islam, Agro-technology Discipline, Prof. Md. Sanaul Islam, Soil, Water and Environment Discipline, SM Atiyar Rahman, Director (In charge), Department of Mass-Communication and Journalism were present in the MoU signing ceremony. Professor Sadhan Ranjan Ghosh (Treasurer) expressed the scholarships that the students at Khulna University would get in the field of agricultural and livelihood research would be of real benefit of the coastal community. By the agreement, research student and faculty member of KU will get honorary scholarship, dormitory facilities and filed work assistance.
