LEDARS organized a two-day long leadership development training for youth leaders started on January 31, 2021 in the scout building of Nakipur Government Pilot Model High School, Shyamnagar, Satkhira, Bangladesh. The program was presided by Freedom Fighter Md. Nazrul Islam, the President of the Advisory Council of the Youth Forum program of Shyamnagar upazila. Mr. SM Jaglul Haider, Member of Parliament, inaugurated the training program, whereas, Head teacher Mr. Abdul Mannan, Lect. Mr. Mosharraf Hossain, Mr. Ramkrishna Mandal UP member were attend the session as special guest. The program was conducted with the financial support of Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF) and UK Aid under ‘’Youth Mobilization for Social Change’’ project. The Presidents, Secretary and Treasurers of all ward youth forums of Shyamnagar Sadar Union were attended in the program.
Mr. SM. Ataul Haque Dolan, Chairman, Upazila Porishod, Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira district was chief guest in the closing ceremony. Police Inspector (Investigation) Mr. Kazi Mohammad Shahidul Islam, Youth development officer Mr. Azizul Islam, Journalist Mr. Zahid Sumon, Journalist Mr. Ranjit Kumar Barman, Md. Shawkat Hossain and Sulta Saha facilitated the training. Leadership, role of youth in the society, volunteerism, ethical, etc was the session topics.
