LEDARS kicked off a 2-day capacity-building training on Climate Change and Advocacy at CSS Ava Center in Khulna on 24 and 25 May 2024. This initiative aims to strengthen the climate justice movement in the southwest coastal area of Bangladesh.
Mr. Md. Tobibur Rahman, Director of Local Government, Khulna Division, inaugurated the training and pledged support for the marginalized communities in the region. He encouraged LEDARS to keep up the good work and stand by those most vulnerable.
30 prominent civil society members, including journalists, teachers, and development activists from Satkhira, Khulna, and Bagerhat districts, are participating. They will discuss climate change, advocacy tools and techniques, civil society movements, and documentation. The goal is to develop an action plan to boost the advocacy campaign in southwest Bangladesh. The training is organized under the project SLSCCVP funded by Bread for the World.
