Cyclone Ampahn deadly affected in Satkhira in May 2020. Most of the latrin have been washed away during flood. LEDARS is being installing flood resistance latrine to the most vulnerable community in Shyamnagar and Assasuni Upazila under Satkhira District under “Covid Sensitive Cyclone Amphan Rehabilitation Program”. The program has been financed by Bread for the World. Under the program total 450 Amphan and covid-19 affected families will get a flood resilient latrine. During last several floods, most of the latrine washed away. People do not have access to latrine in the flooded area. Considering the situation and emergency need LEDARS provide flood resilient latrine to the most affected families. Moreover, 30 PSF (Pond Sand Filter) and 30 ponds will be renovated in the community of the two upazila under this project.
