Satkhira, the most climate change affected area of the country. People are suffering a lot of crisis due to negative impact of climate change. Already a large number of people migrated from waterlogged and salinity affected areas. Government along with some NGOs are working to mitigate the crisis in this area. LEDARS as member of NCC’B organized a training workshop on Local Adaptation Plan(LAP) in 12 November 2015 with the support of Network on Climate Change, Bangladesh (NCC’B) funded by Bread for the World in LEDARS head office, Shyamnagar, Satkhira. 20 people from Local Government, Government officials, civil society member attained that workshop. What is climate change, impact of climate change in Bangladesh and coastal area, how people can adopt with climate change and how people can take local adaptation action in this area, are the main focus of the workshop. Mr. Gazi Monjurul Alam, Program Officer (Training and Documentation) NCC’B facilitate the workshop.
