On July 25, 2022 LEDARS organized a day long free Health Camp and provided gynecology and maternal health services in collaboration with Renata Bangladesh Limited at Charamukha of Dakshin Bedkashi Union of Koira Upazila. The initiative financed by the Bread for the World.
The inaugural function of the health service camp was presided over by former headmaster Tapan Mondal, former UP member Achyut Mondal, Medical Officer of Shyamnagar Upazila Health Complex Dr. Soheli Afroza (MBBS, BCS-Health, PGT-Gynecology & Obs), representative of Renata Bangladesh Limited were present.
Mr. Tapan Mondal said that this is the first time the free gynecology and maternal health services camp have been organized in this remote village by the initiative of LEDARS. The village people are very happy to receive the health services. To get health care from the villagers of this village, one has to go to the upazila health complex which is 30 km away. It is very difficult for a woman to travel so far to seek health care due to poor communication system. We are thankful to the LEDARS for doing such a great job. Total 86 villagers received health services from this free health camp service.
