On April 28, 2022, LEDARS organised a day-long free Gynecology and Maternal health service camp at Sora Government Primary School of Gabura Union of Shyamnagar Upazila with the financial support of Bread for the World and with the technical support of Renata Bangladesh Limited.

Manjur Hossain, UP member of Ward No. 9 of Gabura Union Parishad, Mr. Shubo Islam of Reneta Bangladesh Limited, and Mr. Subrata Roy, Medical Assistant of LEDARS was also present at the opening ceremony. The patients are consulted by Dr. Tania Sultana, MBBS, PGT (Gynecology & Obs).
In the inauguration ceremony of the maternal health service camp, the chief guest said, “Due to climate change, women are suffering from various diseases on the coast. We are grateful to LEDARS for the role they are playing in health care alongside these vulnerable people.” Women of Gabura Union come in droves to this Gynecology and Maternal Health Service Camp. More than a hundred patients have taken care of this camp.
Ms Jahanara Begum, a patient who suffered, said that since our upazila health service center is about 30 km away from Gabura and we have no financial capacity, we cannot get treatment for complex diseases. LEDARS organized health services here for women with female doctors, so that we women can easily talk about our diseases. Here we can get free health care.
