The thunderstorm is declared as natural disaster in Bangladesh. Government is increasing awareness to prevent loss and damages from thunderstorm. Government is inspiring community people to plant palm trees to absorb the ray of thunderstorm. The Youth Forum and Climate Resilience Forum members planted more than 3000 palm tree seed in the community in response to Government argument. The palm tree seeds have been planted in Shyamnagar, Kaligonj and Asasuni upazila of Satkhira district. Adv. S.M. Johurul Haidar, Chairman of Shyamnagar Sadar Union inaugurated the plantation in Shyamanagr upazilla on 05 October, 2020. 
He thanked LEDARS to take this important initiative. Shyamnagar Union Youth Forum, Kashimari Union Climate Resilient Forum and Munshigonj Union Climate Resilient Forum planted this seed with the support of LEDARS. Mr. Sandip Kumar Gayan, President of Jowakhali Youth Clubs, Mr. Sudhansu Kumar Roy, LGI member Kashimari Union, Md. Safiqul Bari, President of Kashimari Union Climate Resilient Forum, Md. Mojibor Rahaman, Md. Badsha Azom, were presented at the palm tree plantation event.
