On Tuesday, January 26, LEDARS organized an inception meeting at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioners (DC) of Satkhira to proclaim the new phase of the project “Strengthening Livelihood Security of Climate Change Vulnerable People. This meeting has organized to share reveal the overall goal, activities and budget with government representatives, NGO representatives and representatives of our beneficiaries. 
Mr. Md. Badiuzzaman, Additional Deputy Commissioner was presented there as the Chief Guest. In his speech, he mentioned that, he is acknowledged about the climate change project of LEDARS and he believes that the initiatives and activities of this project will contribute to mitigate the climate risk of Satkhira as well as whole Bangladesh. Mr. Harun Bin Hanif, Satkhira District Agricultural Engineer, Mr. Pulk Kumar Chakraborty, Satkhira District Senior Health Education Officer, Md. Jamal Uddin, Satkhira District Social Welfare Officer and Md. Monayem Hossain, Chairman of Shobhanali Union of Ashashuni Upazila was also presented there as special guest. About 30 NGOs representatives of different NGOs was presented and shared their valuable feedback in this program. The meeting has presided over by freedom fighter Mr. Nazrul Islam, Vice Chairman of LEDARS.
