On 23 February 2021, LEDARS arranged a Teacher Workshop under the project “Pathway to SRHR revolution: Open Air Exhibition for Safe Sexual and Reproductive Health’’ in collaboration with the Asian Pacific Resource and Research Center for Women. The program was held at Shyamnagar Upazila Muktijoddha Complex Building, Satkhira. 20 teachers of secondary of Shyamnagar and Kaliganj Upazila participated in workshop.
Md. Noor Mohammad (Tejarat), Upazila Secondary Education Officer inaugurated the workshop as the Chief Guest whereas Mr. Manabendra Debnath, Assistant Professor, Ranajit Kumar Barman, Journalist and teacher and Mohan Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS join the inauguration session.
And journalist Sukumar Das Bachchu were present as the special guests. Freedom Fighter Md. Nazrul Islam presided over the workshop. The day-long workshop was facilitated by Ranajit Kumar Barman, Teacher and Member of LEDARS’ Executive Council and Pranab Biswas, Program Officer of One Stop Crisis Cell (OCC), Shyamnagar, Satkhira, Bangladesh. The chief guest of the event emphasis the teaching of reproductive health topic of the secondary school curriculum. He promised to issue a letter to all head teacher to conduct the lesion in the classroom.
