LEDARS distributed vegetable seeds and fertilizers in Kharif-II season at the head office of LEDARS on last April 16, 2023. Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS along with Nipa Chakraborty Women Members of Munshigonj UP distributed the seeds and fertilizers while Alim Al Razi-Program Manager and GM Mosharraf Hossain-Project Coordinator were also present.
These supports including vegetable seeds and fertilizers were being distributed to overcome disaster losses and increase disaster resilient agricultural production and encourage farmers. Speakers of this event pointed out, “As the natural calamities have been increased comparatively due to climate change, consequently the crisis on the coast has increased simultaneously especially in the areas of agriculture. LEDARS have taken various initiatives to encourage farmers to adopt adaptation strategies and agriculture to overcome this crisis. Increasing the participation of women in production along with men in the family will increase economic prosperity at family level which also ensured the nutritional deficiencies in the family.”
