LEDARS organized 2 workshops on Identification of trade for Vocational training with vulnerable youth at 26 October 2019 at Shyamnagara upazila and 27 October 2019 Kaligonj upazila of Satkhira district. Freedom fighter Master Nazrul Islam and Freedom fighter Commander Sheikh Monir Ahmed opened the workshop as Chief guests respectively. Special guest were Sukumar Das Bacchu, Secretary Kaligonj Press Club and Freedom fighter G.M Nurmohammad.

LEDARS implementing a project entitled Youth Mobilization for Social Change with financial support of Manusher Jonno Foundation and UK Aid. Under that project, 100 youth will be engaged with differed income generating activities and trades. The workshops were organized under that project. A total of 88 youth attend the 2 workshops. Through group work and brain storming they have chose diversified trades e.g. Computer training, Mobile servicing, Beauty parlor, Automobile servicing, AC and Refrigerator servicing, Tailoring, Modern agriculture tools servicing, Catering servicing and Handicraft training etc. They also selected some IGA like, Small business, Tea stall, Mobile repairing shop, Photo copier shop, Electronics parts shop, Poultry rearing, Goat rearing, Homestead gardening, Nursery, fish culture, Salon etc. considering context of coastal circumstances. After workshop the youths were made an Action plan for implanting their selected activities. It is mentioned that LEDARS will provide grant and technical support to implement above trades and IGAs.
