With the support of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation (BFF) LEDARS has organized Inter School Science Fair on 02 May 2016 at Upazila Parishad Shyamnagar, Satkhira. The Fair was organized in two steps. First steps were the opening ceremony and the other was closing and price giving ceremony. Chairman of LEDARS Mr. Bidhushroba Mondal has chaired the opening ceremony. The Opening ceremony is inaugurated by the honorable Member of Parliament Satkhira-4 Mr. SM Joglul Haider. The special guests were Upazilla Chairman (Acting) Mohsin-Ul-Mulk, Secretary of Shyamnagar Press Club Mr. Jahid Suman, Executive Director of Nakshikantha Ms. Chondrika Banarjee, Head Teacher of Nakipur H.C Pilot Model High School Dr. Mr. Abdul Mannan, Head Teacher of Nakipur Pilot Girls High School Mr. Krishnananda Mukharjee, Head Teacher of Chingrakhali High School Mr. Joydeb Biswas and Executive Director of LEDARS Mohon Kumar Mondal. Honorable Freedom Fighter Master Nazrul Islam was chaired the closing and price giving ceremony of the fair. Upazilla Nirbahi Officer(UNO) Abu Sayeed Md. Monzur Alom was the chief guest of the closing ceremony.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Mr. Rabiul Islam, Professor (Rtd) of Shyamnagar Government Mohashin Degree College Mrs. Shahana Hamid, Program Officer of Bangladesh Freedom Foundation Mr. Morshed Alam, Head Teacher Tapaban Girls High School Mr. Ramranjon Biswas, Head Teacher of Kathalbaria A.G High School Mr. Azharul Islam, Head Teacher of Atulia Abdul Kader School & College Mr. Suvash Chandra Mondal and Executive Director of LEDARS Mohon Kumar Mondal etc. present as special guests. The students participated in different programs like science quiz competition; inter school debate competition and music competitions. Winners of all competitions are awarded by crest, certificate and special gift. Honorable MP and UNO praised the young scientist and innovators and MR UNO declared 20,000 taka award to implement a project of the best innovation in the fair.
The students of the 30 schools was shown their science related projects, like EMBM booth, Wooden Fridge, Helicopter, Flyover mitigating the traffic jam, Human Skeleton, different models, water vehicles, production of energy creation by different methods, Robot, Excavator, Floating house, Solar panel, Green house, water pump, Water filter, Air cooler, etc. A total of 170 innovative projects were demonstrated in the fair.
