LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society) is a non-profit, non-political development organization registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau of Bangladesh. Since 1996, LEDARS has been working to promote sustainable development, environmental protection, and community empowerment across Bangladesh.
We sincerely appreciate every contribution made by our supporters. Donations are essential to advancing our mission and supporting vulnerable communities. This policy outlines the circumstances under which donation refunds may be considered.
Our Commitment
LEDARS is committed to:
- Transparency and Accountability in the management and use of donor funds.
- Donor Satisfaction through fair and timely resolution of concerns.
- Legal and Ethical Compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and fundraising standards.
Refund Eligibility
As a charitable organization, donations are generally considered final. However, refund requests may be considered in the following circumstances:
- Duplicate Donations – A donation was unintentionally submitted more than once.
- Donation Amount Error – The donor mistakenly entered an incorrect donation amount.
- Unauthorized Transactions – A donation was made without the account holder’s authorization.
- Technical or Payment Gateway Errors – A payment processing issue resulted in an excess or unintended donation.
- Event Cancellation – A donation made specifically for a cancelled event, where the donor does not wish to redirect the contribution to another LEDARS program.
- Incorrect Fund Allocation – A donation intended for a specific project or fund was mistakenly allocated elsewhere. LEDARS may first attempt to reallocate the donation according to the donor’s original intent before considering a refund.
- Fraudulent Activity – A donation resulted from identity theft, fraud, or other unauthorized activities.
