On 𝟮𝟵 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, LEDARS successfully organized the 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 & 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘) project part of the flagship program, 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥-𝗕𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁. at the 𝗦𝗵𝘆𝗮𝗺𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗨𝗽𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝗺, 𝗦𝗮𝘁𝗸𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗮, marking the formal launch of this important initiative. LEDARS is implemented with financial support from 𝗚𝗜𝗭 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵, in cooperation with the 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗕𝗙𝗗).

The meeting brought together key public and private stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of the project, with a strong focus on 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱𝘀, 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗯𝗶𝗼𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 in protecting the Sundarbans.

🔹 The session was presided over by 𝗠𝗿𝘀. 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗺𝘀𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗸, 𝗨𝗽𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗿 (𝗨𝗡𝗢), Shyamnagar, and attended by senior representatives from the Forest Department, local administration, line agencies, community institutions, and civil society.

🔹 Speakers highlighted the project’s role in 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 by promoting 𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, while placing special emphasis on 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲-𝘃𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻, including tiger widows, and Munda Communities through leadership and technical capacity building.

The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion, generating valuable feedback and recommendations to ensure 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 of the SUNDAR-BAY project.
