𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗯𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟮 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at the Co-Management Office in Shyamnagar, Satkhira, bringing together communities, government officials, and conservation partners to reaffirm their shared commitment to protecting the world’s largest mangrove forest. The event has organized by 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 & 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗖𝗨𝗘) project part of the flagship program, 𝗦𝗨𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗥-𝗕𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁.

The event was jointly organized by LEDARS, the Co-Management Committee, and the Forest Department. 𝗠𝘀. 𝗠𝗮𝗵𝗺𝘂𝗱𝗮 𝗕𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗺, 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼-𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗲, Satkhira Range, attended 𝗮𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗚𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁. Special Guests included Mr. Panchanon Kumar Dhali, Mr. Saleh Md. Musa, Advisor of GIZ, and Md. Ziaur Rahman, Station Officer of the Forest Department. The session was chaired by Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS.

Forest Department officials, community leaders, women’s groups, youth volunteers, Resource User Groups, teachers, students, and civil society representatives actively participated in the program.

The observance featured a colorful awareness rally, drawing competition, and discussion session, highlighting the critical role of the Sundarbans as a natural shield against cyclones, tidal surges, and climate change. The event strengthened multi-stakeholder collaboration and reinforced collective responsibility for biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management.
