Special Guests included Mr. Panchanon Kumar Dhali, Mr. Saleh Md. Musa, Advisor of GIZ, and Md. Ziaur Rahman, Station Officer of the Forest Department. The session was chaired by Mohon Kumar Mondal, Executive Director of LEDARS.
Forest Department officials, community leaders, womenโs groups, youth volunteers, Resource User Groups, teachers, students, and civil society representatives actively participated in the program.
The observance featured a colorful awareness rally, drawing competition, and discussion session, highlighting the critical role of the Sundarbans as a natural shield against cyclones, tidal surges, and climate change. The event strengthened multi-stakeholder collaboration and reinforced collective responsibility for biodiversity conservation and sustainable forest management.
